Chuck, Burgundy’s other guy friend

Part of Pupola’s 5 Day Visit of Never One’s Characters

Pupola: Today, I’m going to interview—

Chuck: I’m Burgundy’s best guy friend not the other guy friend. Just making that clear.

Pupola: Okay. I’m glad you’re here. Didn’t know if a slice of tiramisu would work.

Chuck: It’s a good trade.

Pupola: What is the meaning of life?

Chuck: Live it.

Pupola: For many others, there’s more to the question.

Chuck: Meh.

Pupola: You said ‘meh’.

Chuck: Meh.

Pupola: Fine. Which number 3 or 5?

Chuck: 13.

Pupola: *makes a face* Ugh. Swimming pool or beach.

Chuck: Beach Party! Wooo!

Pupola: I like that. Can I come?

Chuck: No adults.

Pupola: Meh. *laughs* Here comes the difficult questions.

Chuck: Sure.

Pupola: *clears throats* Tell me an embarrassing moment?

Chuck: Taking a bribe to eat tiramisu for an interview.

Pupola: Hey! You said that was a good trade.

Chuck: Still doesn’t make it less embarrassing.

Pupola: Moving on…What deep secret you are holding like for someone? Those are the juiciest ones.

Chuck: *just stares at the wall in front of him*

Pupola: You could say ‘no comment’.

Chuck: I wouldn’t be much of a good person if I say that.

Pupola: Fine. This is more pointed at you. You were pretty adamant about being Burgundy’s best guy friend. Do you have more than a friend feeling? Possibly romantic?

Chuck: What! *stands abruptly from his seat and then sits back down* There’s Sss—never mind.

Pupola: Who’s S?

Chuck: No comment. I’m done. *walks out and leaves*

Pupola: Oops, looks like I hit a nerve. Sorry for the short end of the interview. Till Thursday.
